According to ESPN sources, Major League Soccer (MLS) has proposal to finish their season at Walt Disney World. The proposal would have all 26 MLS teams begin training at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex on June 1st. A tournament without fans would take place 3 or 4 weeks later.
Of course, there have been rumblings of the NBA coming to Walt Disney World to finish their season, but the NBA is reportedly still a couple of weeks away from a decision. The MLS proposal would still need to be approved by their Players Association.
Governor Ron DeSantis has recently said that “all professional sports are welcome [to Florida] for practicing and playing”, but Walt Disney World hasn’t announced any plans to host professional sports, including the MLS, at this time.
