Magic Kingdom Adds Social Distancing Markers on Main Street USA for Cavalcades

It’s “Nahtaparade”. As all four Disney World theme parks have added entertainment that attempts to eliminate the crowding seen at traditional parades, guests still have a tendency to group up a bit as princesses pass by.

The entertainment definitely gives life to the streets of the Disney World theme parks, but as more guests become aware of their presence, crowds start to form like a typical parade. Whether it’s a massive float carrying a multitude of princesses, or a single float with Tinker Bell rolling down Main Street USA, Disney has seen a need to put out physical distancing markers to encourage groups to leave space between each other as floats roll down Main Street USA.

As you can see in the photos below, Disney has put out tape in the shape of an “X” to indicate where a group should stand. Or maybe it’s where a group shouldn’t stand. It’s not entirely clear as of right now, but hopefully a more elegant solution is on the way.

    1. The park is empty because of all these “efforts” When the ducks and walking down main street during a parade you know they are in trouble. No discounts half the experience and people telling you not to do things all day makes for an empty park.

    2. Really? The parks are empty because of the “efforts” Disney is putting in place to keep people safe? Gee and here I was thinking it was because we’re in the middle of a global pandemic that is killing thousands of people a day 🤔
