As part of a wide-ranging update on the Disney Parks, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro provided an update on experiences coming to Walt Disney World. As previously shared, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be opening on October 1, 2021 – the start of the 50th Anniversary celebrations for Walt Disney World.
With little else to share about the resort, D’Amaro said that Harmonious and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are among the attractions and experiences “coming soon”:
As we previously announced, Walt Disney World Resort will kick off our 50th anniversary on Oct. 1, 2021. As part of our multiyear transformation of EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will also debut on that day, while work continues on Harmonious and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – just a few of the incredible experiences coming soon.
Of course, he just said that the Disney Genie digital assistant app was “coming soon” too, but failed to give a date or even rough timeframe for any of the announced projects.
It has been rumored that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will miss the previously announced timeframe of before October 1, 2021 – instead moving to a 2022 timeframe. Again, Disney provides no meaningful updates on the project.
