Starting tomorrow, July 11th, guests who have booked a VIP Tour will no longer need to secure a Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group to experience the attraction.
Currently, guests on a VIP Tour would need to secure a Boarding Group like anyone else to ride the attraction. Beginning July 11th, guests on a VIP Tour will be able to walk right on to Rise of the Resistance without having to struggle with the hard-to-get Boarding Groups. VIP Tour participants are limited to one ride per day.
The price of a VIP Tour is currently set at $425 to $750 per hour, depending on the season, and does not include park admission. VIP Tours are bookable for up to 10 guests per group.
We’ve previously called Rise of the Resistance Boarding Groups the worst guest experience at Walt Disney World (that happens on a daily basis). With Boarding Groups gone in seconds and a requirement to use the My Disney Experience app to secure one, it really isn’t pleasant at all to try and ride Rise of the Resistance.
That said, once you get on the attraction, it’s certainly worth the hype and effort to secure a Boarding Group if you are lucky enough to ride. Here’s our video of the full experience, including pre-shows.
