According to the Disney Careers website, Walt Disney Imagineering has posted multiple internship opportunities for start dates in summer 2022. Internships within WDI were relatively common but paused when COVID-19 shut down the theme parks and resorts worldwide.
While Imagineers continue to leave the company due to an upcoming relocation to Florida, Imagineering is seeking interns for the following roles:
- Show Programming (Orlando)
- Show Control Systems (California)
- Ride Controls Engineering Hardware (California)
- Assests Specialist (California)
- Show Mechanical Engineering (California)
- Ride Development Engineer (California)
- Construction Management (California)
Interestingly enough, most of the internships will be based in California. The move to Florida is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, but construction of the new Lake Nona campus is still in the early stages.
