Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, the “parks division” of the company, is making a much-publicized move to Lake Nona, Florida in 2022, and work on the new campus is now underway. As seen in the graphic below, the new campus will be built in the middle of a bustling Lake Nona corporate center. It is expected that this new campus will bring more than 2,000 jobs to Florida with an average salary north of $120,000.

Most of the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products professional roles based in southern California that are not fully dedicated to Disneyland Resort, or in some cases the international parks business, will be asked to relocate to Orlando, said Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.

The move is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, but no official opening date for the campus has been announced.

Here’s a look at the work taking place in Lake Nona to bring notable divisions such as Walt Disney Imagineering to Florida. As you can see, a massive amount of site work is underway to reshape or remove an existing lake. Disney owns about 60 acres of land in total.
