It’s now February and Disney World still isn’t selling most Annual Passes following a pause in late November. As you can see in the screenshot below from the Walt Disney World website, all Annual Passes remain unavailable to purchase with the exception of the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, which is only available to Florida Residents and comes with the most blockout dates.
Back in late November, it was thought that Disney was pausing sales to ensure that guests who had an existing Annual Pass would be able to make Disney Park Pass reservations through what was expected to be a busy holiday season. As it turned out, there was ample Disney Park Pass availability through the holiday season (perhaps as a result of the pause), and now that we’re firmly on the other side of the holiday season, we have to wonder why Disney World hasn’t resumed sales of their Annual Passes.
Out at Disneyland, a similar situation is happening with their Magic Key (annual pass) program. However, at Disneyland, the unavailable passes are listed as “Sold Out” – a departure from the “currently unavailable” verbiage used for Disney World.
It’s likely that Disney World will sell Pirate, Sorcerer, and Incredi-Pass Annual Passes again, but with Spring Break crowds just around the corner, we have to wonder what they’re waiting for.
In the meantime, Disney has introduced a Florida Resident Weekday Magic ticket.
Renewals Annual Passes are allowed, even if the renewal tier doesn’t show as available for a new purchase.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
Why pay for a weekday magic ticket if the Pixie Dust annual pass is still available and it’s a way better deal comparatively?
