A new walkway has opened at EPCOT that connects Spaceship Earth to the entrance to Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana. We reported on the imminent opening of the walkway just a few days ago, and now we have a full walkthrough and photos from the new walkway that will likely become a “permanent” walkway as Disney works to finish World Celebration construction later this year. Here’s our full walkthrough in both directions, followed by photos of the area.
We’ll begin our walk from World Nature and the future entrance to Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana. We can see the rockwork for the new walkthrough attraction peeking up just over the construction walls to the right. The former bypass walkway to the left is still open for now, but we’re going to continue straight through the new walkway that connects to Spaceship Earth’s Project Tomorrow post-show and, eventually, the attraction entrance.
Here’s a look backward to show where the path “ends” – right across from the Coral Reef Restaurant.
We continue on and find that the construction walls end on the south side of the walkway closest to Journey of Water. A berm prevents most views inside the construction site.
Here’s a reverse look at the area.
As we make our way to the end of the World Nature walkway, we meet World Celebration and the Project Tomorrow post-show for Spaceship Earth.
First, here’s a look at the pump house for the Journey of Water attraction.
Here’s the Project Tomorrow exit, which reopens for the first time in a while, but remains functionally the same.
We’ll continue our walk and conclude near the entrance to Spaceship Earth. This walkway is on the west side of Spaceship Earth (or the “right” side if you’re looking at the attraction’s entrance.
