Disneyland to Close Entire Critter Country Land (Temporarily) Starting May 1st for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Construction

In order to support construction in and around Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Disneyland will be closing an entire land. Starting May 1st, Critter Country will be closed. There were no caveats given in the announcement, so it’s safe to assume that Pooh Corner, The Briar Patch, the Hungry Bear Restaurant, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh will be included in that closure. We should know more in a couple days when the Disneyland calendar is updated.

Here’s the announcement from Disneyland:

To make way for these exciting enhancements to the land, Critter Country will temporarily close beginning May 1, 2024.

Teams are working hard to bring Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to life, and we’re continuing to invest in the improvement of overall pathways and surrounding areas to help provide a great guest experience when the attraction opens.

Disneyland did not say when Critter Country would reopen.
