Tiana’s Bayou General, one of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction gift shops, has opened this morning at Magic Kingdom. This was formerly the Splashdown Photos location, but it has been rethemed into a general store servicing much the same purpose.
During the opening period, Tiana’s Bayou General will only serve as a point of sale for on-ride photos. Later, the photo ops will be removed and merchandise will be stocked. Disney World has not announced when they will add merchandise to Tiana’s Bayou General or when they’ll open the nearby Critter Co-Op store. Cast Members at the location were not sure when the swap would happen either, but it doesn’t seem to be imminent.
