Annual Passholders looking to purchase single-day tickets to visit Epic Universe will now find that the entire month of May 2025 is sold out. As you may know, single-day ticket sales are currently limited to existing Annual Passholders in a special pre-sale opportunity before going on sale to the general public. If you’re not an existing Universal Annual Passholder, the only ticket options for the general public include multi-day tickets and vacation packages.
The Passholder pre-sale appears to be for a different ticket type than standard single-day tickets. The pre-sale is to allow existing Passholders the ability to purchase Epic Universe add-on tickets for their pass. In theory, and this is not confirmed by Universal Orlando, there will be a true single-day ticket purchasing opportunity for the general public in the future that would theoretically pull from a separate allocation of single-day tickets. All that is to say, I don’t think that all single-day tickets have been sold out for May 2025 – simply the Annual Passholder add-on ticket. We’ll see if that proves to be true or not in the coming months as Universal Orlando rolls out more ticket types.
Opening day remains available for guests purchasing multi-day tickets and vacation packages.
A message on the Universal Orlando website notifies guests that the month of May is now sold out for the pre-sale opportunity:
1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket add-on for Passholders for May 22-31 are currently unavailable.
Universal’s all-new theme park, Epic Universe, opens to the public on May 22, 2025. Before the grand opening, Universal has said that there will be Annual Passholder “soft opening” preview opportunities, but they have not announced the exact details.
