Final Animal Exhibits Emptied at DinoLand USA Ahead of Start of Tropical Americas Construction

Following the relocation of Marley the American Crocodile in October, the remaining animals have been moved out of DinoLand USA ahead of the start of construction for a new Tropical Americas-themed land. The animals that were removed were a pair of Abdim’s Storks and an Asian Brown Tortoise. While we were able to find the storks in a new location, we didn’t find the tortoise today.

Animals Removed from DinoLand USA Ahead of Construction

While the animal exhibit doesn’t fall within the phase one construction area, round-the-clock construction activities would likely be disruptive to the animals, so it makes sense to remove them and relocate them.

Here’s a look at the area, devoid of animals ahead of construction activities set to start next week!

Abdim’s Storks Relocated

The Abdim’s Storks can now be found near the newly relocated Pocahontas meet and greet on the back side of the Tree of Life. They don’t have any signage yet for their exhibit, which hasn’t been used in years.
