UPDATE: Walt Disney World has removed the booking information referenced in this article. Here’s the latest.
Our original article continues below.
In what is, perhaps, the oddest dining reservation story that I’ve covered to date, it appears that the Beak and Barrel Pirates of the Caribbean tavern will debut exclusively to guests attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Updated messaging on the Walt Disney World website says that guests attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party can make advanced dining reservations for Beak and Barrel, but then says that further information about dining reservations will be released at a later date. Here’s the latest.
Beak and Barrel to Debut Exclusively During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
The Beak and Barrel is scheduled to open in late 2025. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Check back later for details about making reservations.
Starting June 12, 2025, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can book their reservation to dine at this restaurant during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – offered on select nights August 15 to October 31, 2025. All other Guests will be able to book reservations starting June 16, 2025.
A plain reading of that suggests that resort guests will be able to make reservations for dates and times during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, whereas all other guests will have to wait a few days to make reservations. It’s unclear if guests booking on June 16th will be limited to Not-So-Scary dates or not. Heck, it’s not even clear when the bar opens.
This is a weird move by Disney. Like, really weird. If I’m honest, if this ends up being how Disney debuts the bar, it reeks of desperation. Placing the debut of a new dining venue behind a special event paywall is an odd choice, but I’m sure it’ll sell tickets to a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that has been stale for a while now. Perhaps that’s the motivation – to sell Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets. Historically, Disney doesn’t need help selling tickets, but there was a significant price jump this year, so maybe they think that they’re pushing the boundaries a bit.
Of course, the best-case scenario is that the message on the Walt Disney World website is wrong, or rather, that it is premature. My hope is that Walt Disney World will open Beak and Barrel to regular guests during daily operations sometime before the August 15th start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Hopefully, the website message is simply letting guests know that it’ll be open during the party, and whoever published the message with the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party forgot to first tell the world the actual opening date for the Beak and Barrel.
If not, I guess buy your resort reservation, buy your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets, and make your Beak and Barrel reservation so you can spend more money.

I wouldn’t mind if there is a stage space they utilize in there and Rusty Cutlass does their MNSSHP set from inside the bar.
