Good afternoon from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, where crews are making wonderful progress on the construction of the birdcage bar coming to the iconic lobby. Last week, we brought you a first look at the beginning of construction, and now, we have a first look at the structure. Here’s a look!
Birdcage Bar Takes Shape in Grand Floridian Lobby
First, here’s a look at previously released concept art showing the placement of the new lobby bar. The bar pays homage to the birdcage that it replaced.
We’ll start our look at the construction site from the second floor before moving to the lobby level to get a better idea of the scale of the new bar.
Disney has previously announced that construction will last through the holiday season. An opening date for the new lobby bar hasn’t been announced.
