Walt Disney World has announced an upcoming refurbishment of the dock at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The refurbishment will begin in a month, and it will continue for more than a month after that. During a portion of the refurbishment, the dock will be closed to guests, similar to what we’ve seen over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Here’s what we know, along with dates for the refurbishment and closure.

Dock Closure at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort During Refurbishment

The dock will close, and the refurbishment will begin on May 11th. The dock is planned to reopen on June 5th, with other parts of the refurbishment continuing through late June.

Disney may introduce bus service to replace watercraft service to Magic Kingdom, but that has not been announced. Monorail service will, of course, remain an option for guests.

Here’s the notice, posted by Walt Disney World:

From May 11 through late June, the boat dock at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will undergo routine maintenance. The dock will be closed and boat transportation to suspended from May 11-June 5.
