Repairs Made to Swotu Waya Pandora Drum Circle at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

While visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently, we noticed that repairs have been made to some of the drums used in the former Swotu Waya show in Pandora – The World of Avatar. As you can see in our photos below, some of the drums are cleaner and refreshed compared to some of the other well-worn drums. Of course, even the “new” drum covers have a worn-in look to keep with the theming. When we visited, the drums were not activated.

As you may remember, there used to be an interactive show here called Swotu Waya. The show, which played several times per day and at night, would fill the air with rhythmic beats as the drums and land connected including a moment where banshees in the floating mountains reacted to the show.

Unfortunately, Swotu Waya was one of many guest offerings that were quietly removed from the Walt Disney World website with no official update on their long-term status.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
