Disney has announced a planned refurbishment for the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The project runs from August 10th, 2026, through late September 2027. The El Centro Corridor and surrounding areas will also be refurbished as part of the work. Disney has not detailed what the finished spaces will look like.

The refurbishment kicks off August 10th, and covers the Convention Center itself, home to the Coronado Ballroom, the Fiesta Ballroom, and the Veracruz Exhibition Hall. It also extends to the El Centro Corridor and the surrounding areas.
Disney will complete the work in phases. Individual meeting rooms, ballroom sections, and corridor spaces will close temporarily rather than the entire complex shutting down at once. That approach should let the resort keep hosting some conventions and events while crews work on other areas. Disney has not detailed which spaces will close during which phases.
Crews will handle most of the construction overnight. Disney says the overnight schedule is meant to limit the impact on daily operations, including check-in, dining, and guest movement through El Centro. Guests staying at the resort or attending events there during the 13-month window may still see or hear construction activity, particularly around the corridor.
The Convention Center ranks among the largest on Walt Disney World property. It offers roughly 220,000 square feet of meeting space across the Coronado Ballroom, Fiesta Ballroom, Veracruz Exhibition Hall, and 45 breakout rooms.
Disney has not detailed the planned changes for the convention center.
