According to the OC Register, Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion will go under the knife for an extensive refurbishment in 2020. Your last day to ride Haunted Mansion Holiday will be on January 20, 2020, with the ride closing for refurbishment on January 21, 2020. No reopening date has been set yet beyond Spring 2020, but the refurbishment is expected to last into late March or April. This is considerably longer than the few weeks it typically takes Disney to transform the Haunted Mansion back into the “regular” version after the holiday version ends for the season.

Work on the attraction will include paint and trim work on the interior and exterior, lighting work on the interior, and mechanical work on the interior. No story or visual changes are expected during this downtime.

The Haunted Mansion joins Snow White’s Scary Adventures and Indiana Jones Adventure as attractions listed with significant downtime at Disneyland in 2020.
