Candlelight Processional Producer Brings Popular Retelling of ‘The Christmas Story’ to Dr. Phillips Center This December

While Disney has announced that there will be no traditional Candlelight Processional at EPCOT this year, a nearly identical performance has just been announced for the Frontyard Festival at the Dr. Phillips Center.

Noel: The Carols of Christmas is “a traditional and spirited celebration of The Christmas Story, told through dramatic narration and the most beloved Christmas carols.”

Award winning conductor and arranger Derric Johnson is part of the project. Johnson has been a Walt Disney World consultant for 33 years, where he arranged and produced The Voices of Liberty, and…you guessed it…The Candlelight Processional.

While this event isn’t specifically titled the Candlelight Processional, and there doesn’t appear to be a celebrity presenter, fans of the Candlelight Processional might just find a little bit of Christmas cheer in Noel: The Carols of Christmas.

Noel: The Carols of Christmas takes place Sunday, December 15th at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, FL, and more information can be found on the event page: https://www.drphillipscenter.org/events/tickets/2020/noel/
