Center Street Paver Replacement Project Enters Fourth Month of Work as Disney Continues Glacial Pace

Center Street at Magic Kingdom remains behind low construction walls as Disney enters the fourth month of a paver replacement project at the world’s busiest theme park. The construction project is more a lesson in US tax code than anything else, with Disney spreading out a simple project over multiple fiscal quarters, and possibly even multiple fiscal years if the project still isn’t completed by the start of October.

Here’s a look at the work, with the curb being the focus of attention recently.

Only a small portion of pavers have been replaced after four months of work.

The biggest impact to daily operations is to the Keys to the Kingdom tour, which uses Center Street early in the tour to examine some of the Main Street USA windows.
