Original Tron Actor to Ride TRON Lightcycle Run During Special Preview Event

The actor who portrayed Tron during the 1982 film, Bruce Boxleitner, has shared that he will be visiting Magic Kingdom soon to ride the TRON Lightcycle Run attraction. It’s likely that Boxleitner will ride during the media preview this week as an invited guest of Disney World. There is also a D23 Gold Member preview on March 18th, but Annual Passholder and Cast Member previews have concluded.

Boxleitner has a history with Tron, reprising his role as Tron in the Tron: Legacy movie and the Tron: Evolution video game. An article from Slashfilm in 2015 quoted Boxleitner as saying he’s done with the Tron franchise and that he has “moved on” from his role. Earlier this year, The Hollywood Reporter said that Disney is moving forward with Tron 3.

TRON Lightcycle Run opens at Magic Kingdom on April 4, 2023. For an early look at the attraction, check out our first impression review below!
