It’s the most wonderful popular time of the year, and single-day tickets to Magic Kingdom are completely sold out for the remainder of the year. In addition to no Magic Kingdom park pass availability for ticketholders, there is limited availability at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT is sold out for December 31st.
Starting in the new year, all four theme parks have availability as crowds start to ease up just a bit following the turn of the calendar. In terms of Annual Passholder availability, all four theme parks are wide open with the exception of Magic Kingdom (12/30-31) and EPCOT (12/31).
Before the introduction of the Disney Park Pass system, we’d often see Magic Kingdom hit capacity during the early afternoons, utilizing a phased closure system that would prioritize Passholders and guests staying at the Disney World Resort hotels. Now, Disney simply stops selling tickets when Park Pass reservations are full for certain ticket types.
Here’s a look at the ticket availability through the remainder of the 2023 holiday season. Note that availability could change from time to time.
Starting January 9th, many ticket types will not have to make Disney Park Pass theme park reservations. Here are the announced changes:
Visiting on or After January 9, 2024
Starting with visits on January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. A date-based ticket requires you to choose a start date when you purchase.
For other admission types, theme park reservations may be required.
No Theme Park Reservation Required
- Date-based 1-day ticket
- Date-based multi-day ticket
- Vacation package with date-based tickets
Theme Park Reservation Required
- Student group tickets
- Sport and Convention ticket
- Disney Military Salute Ticket
- Annual Pass
- All other ticket types not mentioned above
For admission types requiring theme park reservations, be sure to check reservation availability prior to purchase. Please note that theme park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability can change until the theme park reservation is finalized.
Once you purchase your admission, you can make your theme park reservation(s).
Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks after 2:00 PM without a theme park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park. Applicable pass blockout dates apply. Annual Passes are subject to the Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass Terms and Conditions and are subject to change without notice.
Beginning January 9, 2024, Guests with a ticket with Park Hopper benefits or an Annual Pass will be able to visit another theme park at any time of day during park hours (subject to capacity limitations). On days when theme park reservations are required for Annual Passholders and certain non-dated tickets, Passholders and Guests will be able to take advantage of updates to Park Hopper access after visiting their first park.
Previously Booked Theme Park Reservations
Theme park reservations for visits on or after January 9, 2024 have been automatically removed for Guests with a date-based ticket. These reservations are no longer necessary and have been removed from the My Plans section in My Disney Experience.
