Hurricane Milton: Walt Disney World Reopening Sold Out for Annual Passholders

    Published:

With cleanup underway in Central Florida following Hurricane Milton, it looks like a few locals want to head out to the Walt Disney World theme parks for a bit of an escape. According to the Walt Disney World Park Pass theme park reservation calendar, all four Walt Disney World theme parks are sold out and have no more reservations available for Annual Passholders. Note that the 2pm rule still applies, which allows Annual Passholders to visit the theme parks after 2pm without a theme park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom.

As a reminder, all Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs remain closed today, October 10th as Walt Disney World cleans up following the powerful hurricane. The Walt Disney World area was battered by high winds and lots of rain over the past 24+ hours, and there is some damage around property, mainly associated with high winds.

Cast Members will also be undoing a lot of work that took place over the past couple of days to brace the Walt Disney World theme parks for the historic hurricane.

Walt Disney World closed its theme parks by 2pm yesterday, saying that they came to that decision “in order to leave time for our Guests and Cast Members to return to their Resort hotels or homes safely hours before higher winds are expected to reach Central Florida.”

Hurricane Milton made landfall last night as an extremely dangerous category 3 hurricane near Siesta Key in Sarasota County along the west coast of Florida. Initial data from the National Hurricane Center shows that Hurricane Milton passed about 20-25 miles south of Walt Disney World as a Category 1 storm.
