Good morning from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where we’re taking a lap around the park to see what’s new! Our first stop this morning is in Toy Story Land where repairs are underway on the entrance to the Toy Story Mania attraction entrance marquee. Here’s a closer look!
Toy Story Mania Entrance Repairs
While tens of millions of tourists visit Florida each year to enjoy the sunshine, sun damage is a concern for not only your skin, but also Walt Disney World graphics. Toy Story Land opened in 2018, and the sun has been baking the land, which many guests feel doesn’t have enough shade. As such, a number of graphics are faded throughout the Toy Story-themed area, including the entrance marquee for the Toy Story Mania attraction.
First, here’s a look back at the attraction entrance marquee from before the work started.
As you can see, one of the graphics has been removed completely, and another appears to be a work in progress. Elsewhere, there are signs of chipped and cracking paint throughout the facade that we’re sure will be addressed in the coming weeks.
There is no impact on the operations of the attraction, which remains open to guests at this time.
