PHOTOS: Cinderella Castle Dreamlights Installation Has Started for 2018 Christmas Season

If it seems like we all just got over the fact that Halloween has started in mid-August, prepare for Christmas in September. The infamous Cinderella Castle crane is now on site and installation of the lights has begun.

By our recollection, the Cinderella Castle Dreamlights installation has begun more than two weeks earlier this year than it did last year. The crane is on site and work is taking place during overnight hours, a change that Disney made a few years ago so as not to “ruin” guests photos of the castle with the crane acting as a backdrop during the day. Here’s a look at the work done so far.

The lights are used during the nightly “A Frozen Holiday Wish” castle lighting show, which is expected to return in 2018.
