Disney Postpones Executive Retreat Following “Don’t Say Gay” Bill Fallout

According to Deadline, Disney has postponed an executive retreat after fallout over Disney CEO Bob Chapek’s response to the “Don’t Say Gay” bill in Florida. The management retreat was scheduled to take place at Walt Disney World later this month but has been postponed as leadership instead will go on a listening tour to better understand employee issues surrounding Disney’s diversity and inclusion initiative and their response to the Florida bill.

Chapek called a virtual town hall earlier today ahead of a planned walkout of Disney employees tomorrow. Chapek is attempting to take steps to mend relations with the LGBTQIA+ portion of the company that has expressed disdain towards his response to the bill.

  1. A listening tour huh. I hope they listen to everyone and not single out a select group to listen to exclusively. More, I hope if they do listen to everyone will they react differently to those people who say things Disney doesn’t agree with.

    • The only group group that is involved is the LQBTQ group who are in favor of teaching sex and gender identity to 4,5,6,7,and 8 year old children without the permission or knowledge of the parents. Any walkout would be a violation of their union contract. Any walkout by a non union employee is a violation their condition of employment. They all should be fired. Let the young children be children
