We continue our look at construction projects around Disney’s Hollywood Studios today with a look at the work going on for the Disney Skyliner station near the bus loop.

Here’s an aerial view of where the work is taking place, followed by a composite image of a satellite view and the permit for the work.

A closer look at the construction area.

A wide view of the construction area, and a Friendship boat in operation.

The work being done has no operational impacts on either bus services or the walking path between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Epcot resort area. Here’s a look at the walking path, gondola fences to the left, and bus loop construction fences to the right.

Oddly enough, the bus loop construction walls are lower than eye level, so we were able to take photos of the work going on in the area quite easily. It appears that plumbing work is underway to support new guest restrooms in the area.

When completed, the Disney Skyliner gondola system will connect Epcot, Disney Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century/Art of Animation, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

It is expected that the gondola system will be operational by mid-2019.
