FIRST LOOK: Ride Installation Begins for Tron Roller Coaster at Magic Kingdom

The biggest milestone to date has just been reached for the Tron roller coaster at Magic Kingdom. The first footers for the roller coaster have just been installed, as the construction pace kicks up with the foundation fully poured now. Here’s a look at the site from atop the Contemporary.

The Tron roller coaster plot sits next to Space Mountain and it will be a Tomorrowland attraction.

We continue to zoom into the site.

A closer look never hurt anyone. It looks like they’ve focused their efforts so far on the west side of the construction site, nearest what will eventually be the entrance.

We can see some angled footers on the eastern side of the construction site.

As a reminder, here’s what the concept art looks like for the roller coaster. What we saw above is inside the show building, where a majority of the ride will take place. The show building will be hidden behind the giant canopy.

The Tron roller coaster is scheduled to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in October 2021.

As always, keep checking back with BlogMickey.com for the absolutely latest coverage of the Tron roller coaster and many more projects from around the Disney Parks.
