PHOTOS: New Attraction Elements Visible in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (July 2017)

We continue our aerial tour of Walt Disney World property today with a look at the newly named Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Both attractions have seen progress since our last look at the construction site.

Let’s start with an overview of the land. This look is from the west, looking east, or from the back of the land towards the front.

Looking towards the Millennium Falcon attraction, we can see some new circular elements that seem to be connected. The elbow-shaped concrete forms in the top of the photo will likely be a duplicate of the elements found in the bottom of the image.

Shifting our attention east, we find the massive building that will house the First Order Battle Escape attraction.

The building has grown east (to the right), moving past the AT-AT structures.

The most interesting element of the show building is the circular structure to the right. Here are a couple of looks at it.

Other noteworthy sections of the land include concrete forms at both the Muppet Courtyard entrance and the Toy Story Land entrance.

Here’s a look at the former Phineas and Ferb meet and greet area. An interesting bit of construction has popped up near the extended MuppetVision 3D queue in the form of 4 square bases as seen in the top left of the below photo.

Finally, let’s take a look at the concept art for the land.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.
