NBA Referees March Against Racism at Disney World

Sports fans and non-sports fans alike have likely heard about the boycott of NBA games due to the shooting of Jacob Blake at the hands of police officers in Wisconsin. What started as a boycott by Milwaukee Bucks has turned into a NBA-wide boycott as players take a stand against racism. Players and NBA officials are holding a meeting today to determine the best course of action going forward.

Today, the NBA referees held a march around Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World against racism and in grieving of the black lives taken too soon, according to a tweet.

The NBA referees marched within the safety of the “bubble” created at Disney World to create an environment that mitigates the risk of COVID-19. Some media that are stationed within the bubble took video of the march.

Cast Members came out to show support for the march as well.

  1. Just another reason to avoid Disney World. I always went there to escape reality, not be confronted by it. It’s no longer the happiest place on earth an I am sad to see what has happened there.

  2. You realize that this takes place within the NBA bubble site (as the article states multiple times) so you would not be confronted by this โ€œrealityโ€ by going there. Snowflake. If you think a march against racism is a reason not to go there, you really need to think about how you became such a bitter and easily offended loser. But I for one am happy I wonโ€™t need to risk running into you there.
