Another attraction is taking advantage of reduced physical distancing requirements at Walt Disney World. Soarin’ Around the World, the popular hang glider simulator, has removed plexiglass barriers that used to sit between parties. We made it out to EPCOT this morning to take a look at the changes!
Physical distancing markers and plexiglass remains in place throughout the queue.

That said, plexiglass has been removed from on the attraction. Previously, Soarin’ implemented plexiglass installed on a booster seat, just like Star Tours in the photo below.

Without fixed plexiglass barriers, guests are asked to keep one seat open between parties. Because the plexiglass barriers weren’t adjusted for each cycle, seats would previously go unfilled if the perfect number of guests weren’t in each party. Now, with the plexiglass removed and one seat left in between parties of any size, capcity for the attraction has been increased.
