Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has returned to Magic Kingdom on select nights through November 1st. Guests can find extra entertainment and characters to interact with during the special-ticketed event, including a ghost in the graveyard at The Haunted Mansion.

Madame Carlotta can be found in the graveyard just before you enter the Haunted Mansion attraction. Her ghostly presence can be heard as you weave through the extended queue and then seen as you wait your turn to enter the Mansion. When we visited, Madame Carlotta was encouraging guests to continue to their doom…buggies and interacting with guests as they waited in line.

Unlike years past, there is no entertainment at the front of the Mansion, which is now reserved exclusively for Disney PhotoPass shots, which are quite popular during the party. Unfortunately, that means that you’ll have to wait in line to ride Haunted Mansion to even interact with Madame Carlotta. As you might imagine, The Haunted Mansion is one of the more popular attractions during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, demanding waits of 30 to 60 minutes throughout the party. We found the standby line to almost completely dwindle during the Not-So-Spooky fireworks show, but quickly build following the show. It’s worth noting that Madame Carlotta will not be out during the fireworks, but should return about 15-20 minutes after the conclusion of the show.

If you miss Madame Carlotta during your wait, we enjoyed the lighting effects in the graveyard.

In addition to Madame Carlotta, the Haunted Mansion itself gets a bit of a makeover…at least on the outside. A specialty lighting package and fog effects are deployed on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights.
