We should be hearing more about Test Track 3.0 in just a few days time, and work continues at EPCOT where crews have begun removing the canopy that covered the main entrance. In addition to the canopy removal, the main entrance logo has also been removed as crews prepare to bring the third iteration of the attraction to life. Walt Disney World has not announced a reopening date, but estimates say that the work will last into 2025.
Test Track Canopy Removal Begins
First, here’s a look back at the canopy as it stood for years. The canopy has been a staple since the first edition of Test Track, but it will be completely removed for the next version of the ride.

And here’s a look at the area during our visit to EPCOT today. As you can see, partial canopy removal has begun, with Cast Members in the area saying that the removal was intentional, even with Hurricane Debby possibly creating some amount of wind damage at EPCOT. The Test Track canopy has been damaged during previous hurricane events, but we’re told that’s not the case this time, despite it looking a bit ragged in parts.
