Walt Disney World Announces Critically Endangered Sumatran Tiger Is Pregnant at Animal Kingdom

Dr. Mark Penning has announced that Sohni the Sumatran tiger is pregnant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Sohni is no stranger to giving birth at the theme park, giving birth to two cubs back in August 2017.

Soon-to-be father Conrad joined Disney’s Animal Kingdom back in 2022 as part of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan. Sumatran tigers are listed as critically endangered by the World Wildlife Fund with an estimated population of fewer than 400 tigers worldwide.
