It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, even if 85° doesn’t exactly feel like Christmas. Seasonal decor has been installed around Discovery Island in the form of animal-shaped luminaries and bird lanterns as Animal Kingdom prepares for the holiday season. We stopped by Disney’s Animal Kingdom today to take a look at the installation!
Highlights of the holiday at Animal Kingdom include:
- Merry Menagerie – Delight in winter wonders as Discovery Island springs to life with artisan-sculpted puppets of arctic animals—like penguins, reindeer, foxes and polar bears.
- Santa Claus Festive Flotilla – See Santa Claus as he sails down the Discovery River to a jolly, world-beat holiday soundtrack.
- Discovery Island Drummers Festive Flotilla – Feel the beat as a colorful group of percussionists cruise along the Discovery River, entertaining Guests like you on the shore.Â
