Walt Disney Imagineering’s Kathy Mangum Retiring at End of 2018

Kathy Mangum, Senior Vice President Walt Disney World Portfolio Executive – Walt Disney Imagineering, will be retiring at the end of 2018. News of her retirement came out during an IAAPA panel discussion about Inspiring Women of Disney Parks. Mangum was being introduced by 2019-2020 Walt Disney World ambassador Marilyn West when it was said that she’d be retiring at the end of the year.

Mangum began her career with the Walt Disney Company in 1976 and has spent a total of 40 years with the company. Some of her projects include Cars Land, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, The Seas With Nemo & Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Frozen Ever After, the infamous Auction scene reimagining on Pirates of the Caribbean, and the upcoming Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.
