Alligator warning signs and trap added around the Rivers of America

Disney, in a response to the tragic alligator attack that occurred this past June, has taken steps around property to separate guests from bodies of water that may contain alligators as well as posting very clear warning signs. Here’s a look at just one of the signs posted on the boardwalk that runs over the Rivers of America at the Magic Kingdom.

Disney has also added what appears to be an alligator trap of sorts to the bank of the same river.

Yet another step Disney is taking is adding netting to the portion of the boardwalk that runs next to Splash Mountain. The netting is intended to act as an additional barrier between guests on the ride and potential alligators. It is worth noting that the ride in no way connects to the river, but is close in proximity.
