Rumor: Alcoholic Blue and Green Milk Coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It looks like changes are coming to Blue and Green milk, but perhaps not in the way that you may expect. According to sources familiar with the matter, both Blue and Green milk will get alcoholic versions when they debut at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Blue and Green milk have debuted to mixed reviews at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland. Our review was less than positive on both of the drinks, coming to the conclusion that Disney had missed the mark with the drinks. Even though it hasn’t been explicitly stated publicly, Disney was surely hoping for a drink that could compete with the extremely popular Butterbeer at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter within Universal theme parks. Blue and Green milk just doesn’t quite live up to that high bar.

Now, Disney is said to be adding the option of vodka and/or rum to the drinks when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in August. As of publish time, it’s unclear if the alcohol will be premixed, or added as a floater. It’s worth noting that while we’ve heard that there will be the addition of alcohol, we haven’t heard of any further modifications to the drink. Non-alcoholic versions of both drinks will still be offered.

As a refresher, Blue and Green milk are both plant-based coconut and rice milks, with added flavoring. Here’s how Disney describes them:

    Blue Milk
Plant-based Dairy blend of Coconut and Rice Milk with alluring fruity characteristics

    Green Milk
Plant-based Dairy blend of Coconut and Rice Milk with zippy citrus and tropical characteristics

Beyond the story of alcoholic Blue Milk and alcoholic Green Milk, there seems to be more flexibility with regards to alcoholic drinks at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge within Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In our review of Docking Bay 7, we had hypothesized about alcohol making its way into more drinks within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios than at Disneyland. Given the news of alcohol making its way into the Milk Stand, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it in other spots in the land outside of Oga’s Cantina.

Of course, just like anything that hasn’t been announced by Disney, you should consider this information unofficial unless and until Disney confirms our story.
