More Curving Canopy Installed for TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom

While visiting Magic Kingdom today, we noticed a busy construction site once again for the TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster. As a reminder, the first canopy piece was installed a week ago as the construction hit a major milestone. More recently, we took a look at some aerial photos of the construction site that provided a unique vantage point.

Today, we’re back on the ground to take a look around the construction site to see what progress has been made. As a reminder, here’s a look at the latest aerial photo of the site. While we could start to see some of the dynamic curvature of the canopy start to take shape from the air, it’s just as impressive from the ground.

We can see a really big, curving dip just past the temporary rusted steel support columns. A construction worker can be seen in a cherry picker near the bottom of the dip.

While these pieces may look like roller coaster track, the track was completed months ago, before any work on the canopy took place. Even more canopy pieces have been staged nearby, as a flurry of activity was taking place this morning, including a new delivery!

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
