According to documents filed with the state, Walt Disney World is planning on laying off 19 additional Cast Members in March 2021.
While the layoffs planned for March are significantly less than the 32,000 total layoffs within the company, there is no doubt that these 19 layoffs are significant to those involved.
It’s not clear if these additional layoffs are part of the originally announced batch of layoffs or not.
Disney World is working on a return to normal, bringing back Cast Members who were previously laid off as business needs demand. As we look towards the summer, Disney has announced that they plan on bringing back the Festival of the Lion King show to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
