Walt Disney Imagineering has filed two permits with the state for the fabrication & installation of show set items for the TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster at Magic Kingdom. Earlier today, we took a look at the newly completed installation of the roof canopy. We also got a close look at full-speed testing of ride vehicles.
Disney has not officially announced an opening date for the attraction, but sources have indicated that Disney wants to open the ride later this year. Whether or not they can hit that timeline remains to be seen, but after years of a seemingly lethargic construction pace, the pace of work appears to be increasing in recent weeks.
