Swaying palms and island breezes were replaced by jackhammers earlier this afternoon when we dropped by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to check on the Lava Pool slide replacement project. In the parking lot, it looks like a lot of the slide has already been removed.

The slide is expected to reopen to guests in early February.
