Starting today, anyone with an eligible Park Hopping ticket can now hop between any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks all day long. Disney World has officially dropped the Park Hopping restrictions that have been in place since January 1, 2021 that only allowed Park Hopping after 2pm. The restrictions were initially part of Disney World’s phased reopening following the COVID-19 pandemic, but eventually became pointless as Disney World abandoned most safety measures.
By 2022, it was clear that the Park Hopping restrictions served no purpose for guest safety or guest experience. Throughout all of 2022 and 2023, the Park Hopping restriction was kept in place, and guests weren’t happy with it.
Finally, in October 2023, Disney World announced that all-day Park Hopping would return, and that day has finally arrived. Another change taking place today is the sun setting of the Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system for date-based tickets. That said, the Disney Park Pass system isn’t going away for all guests as the system is far too valuable from a yield management perspective, and it is probably legitimately required for a few of the busiest days of the year.
