After a visit to Magic Kingdom this morning to check in on The Hall of Presidents and Astro Orbiter refurbishments, we jumped on the watercraft for a cold trip across the Seven Seas Lagoon toward Bay Lake to check on the Disney Lakeshore Lodge project. Back in November, Disney Vacation Club officially announced that the former Reflections project was moving forward, but under a new name despite the fact that the hotel footprint would be the same. We reported that the hotel was being built some two months prior to Disney’s announcement when we spotted the first signs of construction on the site. Now, we have a new look at the work, which has reached the third floor of construction on the northeast corner of the site.
Lakeshore Lodge Construction Reaches Third Floor
As with our previous updates, we’ll take a look at the construction from the water first on our ride over from Magic Kingdom before taking a closer look from on land. Let’s jump in!
In order to better understand what we’re looking at, here’s a look at a permit showing the footprint of the 10-story resort. In the annotated screenshot below, we can see the main building outlined in red, Pioneer Hall in green, and private cabins in blue. The private cabins look like they’ll take over the current beach area in the northeastern corner of the screenshot below.
Essentially, we’ll see that construction of the U-shaped area on the right half of the building is progressing well, with the highest point of construction on the corner closest to Clementine Beach near the boat launch to Magic Kingdom.

Ok, back to our boat ride over from Magic Kingdom. The defining feature of the work so far is the group of cranes that reach high above the tree line, even if the construction hasn’t quite broken through yet.

We’ll look at the work from the lowest point of the work on the western side of the site, over to the northeastern corner where vertical construction is at its highest point so far.

Here’s the highest point of the work so far, in a corner of the site that is closest to Pioneer Hall.

Now on land, we’ll walk down the dock, past Clementine Beach, and toward an area near Pioneer Hall for a closer look at the construction process.
