A brand new monorail has been delivered to Tokyo Disneyland ahead of its spring 2020 debut at the resort. This will be the first new monorail on the line since 2001. The train will contain 6 cars and is the first of 5 such trains that will be added to the line by the end of fiscal year 2024. The trains will feature larger, Mickey-shaped windows to provide guests with a better view of the resort as they travel around the line. Here is a concept of the interior.

Twitter user msr_ef653089 followed the train as it was being delivered to the resort, offering the following wonderful photos.

It’s exciting to see new monorails arrive at a Disney park, and we’re still hoping that we’ll see a similar investment in the aging Walt Disney World fleet.
