The Disney Junior Dance Party is no longer as a new show is set to Disney’s Hollywood Studios today with non-equity actors as the Actors’ Equity union continues to battle with Disney over COVID-19 testing for performers and use of face masks during the performance. The name of the new show is Disney Junior Play and Dance!
The debut comes just a day after equity actors spoke out against the union and said that they feel that the safety measures put in place by Disney makes them feel safe.
According to sources, the show features no equity actors as a result of the ongoing negotiations. No equity actors have been called back to Walt Disney World, but the Company has decided that the show must go on and has modified shows as a result.
