We made it out to Art of Animation this afternoon to check on the progress of the Disney Skyliner station construction. To recap, Art of Animation and Pop Century will share a Disney Skyliner station situated over Hourglass Lake. Here’s a look at the permit and location of the station.
Work is underway now, with cranes and building materials floated across the lake to the construction site.
An elevated look shows what appear to be pillars being driven into the lake to shore up the platform for further construction.

The impact on guest foot traffic is minimal, as half of the bridge remains open, connecting the two resorts.
The Disney Skyliner gondola system is expected to be operational by mid-2019.
