We’re continuing our look at Walt Disney World projects from the air today with a look at the Disney Riviera Resort construction site. Disney Riviera Resort is the upcoming DVC highrise that’s taking over the northernmost plot of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. The resort promises great views of both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios nighttime spectaculars.

Concept Art for Disney Riviera Resort

Let’s take a look at the latest construction progress.

With two tower cranes on site, work on the structure has progressed nicely since our last look at it. The first floor appears to be completed. Disney Riviera Resort will be approximately 8 stories tall, based on concept art. It also looks like a parking lot is being graded for the new resort.

A closer look at the progress, giving us a better idea of the shape of the building. We can also see that work on the second floor of the resort has started on the right side of the structure.

Disney Riviera Resort is set to open in Fall 2019.
