Animal Kingdom Reaches Disney Park Pass Capacity for the First Time

Now in our second day of Disney Park Pass theme park reservations for resort guests, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now showing as no availability for July 14th on the Disney Park Pass availability calendar.

So, what does this mean? It means that resort guests are no longer able to reserve entry into Disney’s Animal Kingdom on this date. That said, questions still linger from yesterday’s round of news that Disney’s Hollywood Studios was the first Walt Disney World theme park to reach capacity. As you can see in the photo below, there are essentially three “different” calendars that show availability for three different types of guests – Annual Passholders, Disney Resort Guests, and Theme Park Tickets Guests.

Not only has Disney created different calendars, but they have also created different dates that each of those different types of guests can reserve. To find the start date that applies to you, check out our earlier post.

Now, this begs the question: Is the park really at capacity for the day?

It’s a question that we’ve considered, and given the circumstances, we’re speculating that there will be different allocation amounts for the three different tiers of guests. That means that while the park may be showing as full for Disney Resort Guests, there might be some extra allocation for Annual Passholders and regular ticket holders who aren’t able to register until later this week.

Of course, this is just speculation, but that’s all we have in a long string of speculation surrounding the Disney Park Pass system in lieu of an official statement from Walt Disney World. Either way, all will be revealed on Friday, when Annual Passholders without a resort reservation are able to access the system.

UPDATE: It looks like Disney will be adding additional availability. Check out our post to learn more!

Are you having issues with the system now? Check out our post from yesterday about what could have caused the widespread glitch yesterday, and what you might be able to do about it. We have received some reports on social media that there might have been a fix applied last night, so try again if you were encountering some issues yesterday!

    1. The problem that I am having is that the reservation that I was trying to make was for my wife, son, and I. Which we are all staying that the resort in July. But not wouldn’t let me put my son on the reservation list to reserve a spot for any park. But if I took him off I could reserve.

    2. The availability calendar yesterday was defaulting to the “Theme Park Tickets Guests” when you landed on the page, rather than the “Disney Resorts Guests”, who were the only group allowed to make reservations. I saw several posts by people giving up because the calendar showed zero availability for any park. The calendar should have been set to only show the resort guest page…

    3. I think your info is a bit outdated… I just looked at 1PM central and animal kingdom is still available
