Disney Updates November Hours, Could Make a Very Merry Christmas Party Announcement Soon

As we continue to keep a close eye on the Disney World daily operations, Disney may have just made a move that signals that they’re getting ready to make an announcement about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

As you likely know by now, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been cancelled for 2020. It was a move that was prompted by the need to cut entertainment, fireworks, and parades to allow for physical distancing in the theme parks. Those types of offerings will naturally draw a crowd. While a crowd isn’t necessarily a bad thing, a crowd where physical distancing is nearly impossible does pose a problem for Disney World.

When Disney announced that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would be cancelled, they said that they would make an announcement about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at a later date. Now, it looks like Disney is getting ready to make an announcement about the holiday season at Disney World soon.

Today, Disney updated the theme park hours for all four Disney World theme parks through November 7th. Previously, hours were listed through October 31st. All four Disney World theme parks keep their same hours for November 1-7th as they had in the weeks previous. November 8th was previously said to be the start of the holiday season at Walt Disney World, and it was also scheduled to be the first night of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Of course, the next question is: will Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party run in 2020? If we had to guess, we’d say that it is a coin toss at this point. While it’s hard to imagine that things will be “back to normal” in just a few months, Disney has already restarted parades and nighttime fireworks at Shanghai Disneyland, just a few months after reopening those parks. Of course, the COVID-19 environment in China and Florida are different at this point, but Florida has seen a decrease in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks. Again, we think it’s probably a coin toss at this time, but we hope to hear something from Disney soon!

  1. I think Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas 🎄 Party will be happening this year, since there was a decrease of COVID-19 in Florida and, as a Christmas 🎄 🎁 present for the little girls, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique should be available at the same time and, starting this New Year’s day, the first little girls, who had went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, will be meeting three of the Disney princesses in the Royal Hall.

  2. I hope there is NEVER a Christmas season like the one I last attended. There was MUCH construction, 1/2 the room to walk, staff herding us like cattle. If they have this Christmas party, I hope dates are extended and number of guests kept at what it is now with Covid 19. I would like to come again. I haven’t been back since that horrible Castle lighting.

  3. I hope it does. Bring some magic to the holidays that will be so boring. But Disney has to do what is possible and we thank them for all their efforts.
